SPECIAL AREA DEMONSTRATION PROJECT SCHEME TO DEMONSTRATE USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY OPTIONS AT PLACES OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL IMPORTANCE.
The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has launched a Special Area Demonstration Project Scheme to demonstrate use of Renewable Energy options in illuminating and supplementing the energy requirement at places of national pride and of National and International importance. The objective of the programme would be to create publicity of the renewable energy technologies, systems and also to disseminate information on technological development and promotional activities taking place in the area of the New and Renewable energy. Under Special Area Demonstration Project Scheme, additional components has been introduced on demonstration of Renewable energy /systems/ devices at place of National and Inter national importance, at centralized kitchens and at roadside eating joints and restaurants where large flow of people and tourists takes place every day with an objective to popularize the renewable energy system and devices to create greater awareness.
