    About Scheme

    GCRT solar power plants in social sector institute
    To meet the energy requirement of social sector institutions run by the State Govt. / Non Govt. Organisations like Gurukuls, working women hostels, orphanages, Deaf and Dumb Centres, Creches, Old age homes, Bal Greh, Nari Niketans, Bal Niketans, Hostels, Charitable Institutions, Natural Treatment Centres, Red Cross Institutes etc., this scheme has been formulated .
    Under the scheme, GCRT solar power plants will be installed on 50% financial assistance basis and the balance 50% of the project cost is to be borne by the beneficiary institution.
    Grid Connected Roof Top (GCRT) Solar Power Plants (without battery bank under CAPEX mode) of capacity upto 50 kW or sanctioned load whichever is lower, shall be allowed under the scheme.
    OR
    Grid Connected Roof Top (GCRT) Solar Power Plants (Hybrid, with battery bank under CAPEX mode) of capacity upto 10 kW or sanctioned load whichever is lower, shall be allowed under the scheme.
    A maximum of 1.0 MW capacity Grid Connected Roof Top (GCRT) Solar Power Plants (with/without battery bank under CAPEX mode) shall be installed annually under the scheme on “First Come First Serve” basis.
